We impact the lives of others. And we don’t get a choice about it and it’s not partial to who we are. It’s going to happen whether it’s good or bad, with friends or (fr)enemies, on a stage or in passing.
And we all have this, this amazing capacity for positive impact and influence.
It can be through our work, but more than that it’s just in who we are and what we’re known for. It’s how we greet others and how we love. It traces through our conversations and carries itself in our attitudes.
I think we are called to become and then we are called to lead—at first simultaneously and then always better as we go.
And this idea has me locked in on G R A T I T U D E for people.
There are so many that have had a tremendous and positive influence on my life, in opening doors, and in shaping me into the woman I am today. People who have given selflessly in coaching, teaching, in conversation, guidance, host-families!, smiles, tough lessons. Some are beside me, some are at a distance, and some I don’t even know.
I am overwhelmingly grateful for this intricate and purposeful design of influence, and thinking more and more every day of how I can serve, invite, love and be a person that brightens, strengthens and encourages others by putting my best self forward in my personal and professional spaces.
As I consider how I love I see more clearly how others love me in their various ways, and it’s absolutely wonderful.
Anyways, this is on my mind today.
